Diablo 3 Powerleveling – Act 2 Royal Audience Runs Patch 2.0.2

Wow, this run is pretty awesome. It is a bit of a pain because it does require some running around before you get to start killing monsters but the experience is pretty amazing.

This one is in Act 2 on the Royal Audience quest. Start off on that quest and basically do the quest up until the end in the sewer. For some reason this didn’t get nerfed like all the other quest-based leveling areas. I’m not sure how long this will last, but if you have some time give it a go.

Royal Audience Run Breakdown:

  • Do this on the HIGHEST Torment level you can without dying a ton. Higher the level, the more XP you get. This really is super important also due to the fact it does involve a lot of downtime (time not spent killing monsters).
  • Groups are great for this, as with any leveling spot.
  • In the run in the video I was able to get 32 Million XP is about 4 minutes.
  • You can find out more about the build I was using in the video right here.
  • Make sure to open all the chests along the way. I was able to get a legendary from them last night.

Well, that’s about it for this run. It’s pretty good. Don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel to be notified when I put out new videos!

Everything You Need To Know About The 2.0.1 Reset Quests Feature

The new reset quest feature is pretty awesome. I have used it a lot myself for when I play through the game again and again.

I keep seeing a lot of questions about what exactly does it do, the benefits of using it, as well as the disadvantages of using it. So I thought it might be time to put together a nice complete post about the feature.

Why Add the Reset Quests Button?

I figured we could start here to give a nice overview and to get into the head of the developers for a moment. Since Blizzard took out the multiple difficulty levels (Normal, Nightmare, Hell, Inferno) they thought they should add in a way to basically reset the quests and start from the beginning of the game after beating it.

Kinda as a way for players that like that specific type of play to keep doing it. I’m pretty sure this was the sole purpose of it in the beginning. With the way patch 2.0.1 really evolved the game this feature has also started to evolve.

D3 Core of Arreat Farming for Legendaries Patch 2.0.2

Wanting to get some more legendary drops? This “Core run” is currently pretty popular to do because a lot of people have great success with it. This is a pretty simple and fast run at the Core of Arreat in Act III. I have a breakdown of the route below and watch the video above to see the run in action!

Here’s the farming route breakdown:

  • Start at the Act III Kill Azmodan quest.
  • Head to the Core of Arreat using the waypoint.
  • Start at the beginning and go all the way to get the checkpoint right before entering Azmodan’s room.
  • Make sure to open all the chests! Chests usually have most of the legendaries in this run.
  • Killing monsters is really optional, although I like to do it to help keep it real.
  • Pick up everything. A lot of stuff is selling really well on the AH before it’s shut down.
  • Try it out for an hour and see what kind of results you have.

That’s pretty much it. Very quick and easy run that anyone can do. It’s not just for the players that can rip apart Torment 6 easily. I hope this helps you out and don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel!

D3 Powerleveling – Crypt of the Ancients (CotA) Runs Patch 2.0.2

Blizzard did a good job nerfing all the quest XP after the first playthrough. So, many of the different “Do this quest” runs have been killed. Here’s a different run today that has some fantastic experience with it for Paragon leveling before the expansion.

This spot is in Act 1 at the Crypt of the Ancients. This location has a nice density of mobs that die pretty quickly and can be done in just a few minutes each run. At this location I’ve been able to get anywhere around 20-25 million xp here per run.

Ideally, you would want to have fantastic gear on Torment VI to get the most xp here. I know that isn’t always possible and heck, I can’t really do it very well on higher Torment levels than III. So, the xp here can be a lot better or slightly less depending on your gear setup and build.

Watch the video above to see the whole run in action or click through to see the run breakdown.

D3 Frozen Orb Wizard Build

I’ve been playing my Wizard a lot more lately and that’s pretty much due to this build. It’s a pretty straightforward build in terms of playstyle but feels strong. It’s also a nice throwback build to the days of Diablo 2 when Frozen Orb ruled.

Build Breakdown

Build Link: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/wizard#UcQjST!ZcW!YcZcac

Build Notes

  • Main spell focus is on Frozen Orb, that’s where most of your damage comes from.
  • Make sure you stay buffed at all times with Storm Armor, Magic Weapon, and your Famaliar.
  • Teleport is pretty much your “Oh Crap! Get Me Outta Here!” button.
  • Any increase to Cold Skills you can get on your gear is good.
  • Lightning Skills damage increase can also be useful if you don’t have the +Cold Skills.

That pretty much sums up this build. Head on out, give it a shot and let us know what you think! Also, don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel for more videos!

Diablo 3 Paragon Leveling – Cage Runs Patch 2.0.2

UPDATE: The huge quest reward XP has been nerfed on 3/6/14.

I’m surprised Blizzard didn’t nerf this run today as well. With the Caldeum Refugees and Mira runs being nerfed they have seemed to forget this one.

What am I talking about? Cage runs! The whole premise of this is pretty much the same as the Mira runs although the xp per hour is lower it still can add up pretty nicely and quickly. Also remember these can get pretty boring fast as well.

Cage Run Breakdown:

  • Start on Act 2 – Road to Alcarnus quest on the Lieutenant Vachem part.
  • Start a game, take the waypoint to the Outpost and go through and do the quest basically.
  • Can get around 10 million xp every couple of minutes doing this on Torment IV difficulty.
  • I’m sure it can be sped up greatly on Torment 6 with a good group.

That’s basically all there is to it. A lot of people have been looking for a spot like this since the others got nerfed so here you go! ๐Ÿ™‚

Diablo 3 Patch 2.0.2 Is Live!

This patch has fixed a lot of the different types of “runs” people have been doing. While that isn’t all, it is good to see Blizzard staying on top of completely insane farming routes.

Wait, didn’t I just post a video showing one the other day? Yeah, I did and will continue doing so. Why? That’s what a lot of people like to see and learn about. Don’t worry though, I will keep other types of videos coming as well.

Here’s the important changes and fixes that this patch 2.0.2 is bringing us.

Finally, getting rid of the ding in communities and clan chat. I listed this first since it fixes one of the biggest annoyances I’ve had since patch 2.0.1.

Fixing the Mira runs and Caldeum Refugees. Good for the game long term to see this extremely high XP spots nerfed.

Level 60 crafted amulets are back and can be crafted now! That’s really nice, once the servers come back up I think I’m gonna craft a few.

The act 2 keywarden Sokahr’s reflect damage has been nerfed a bit. I really bet a lot of hardcore players are glad to see this. I almost got one shot by him yesterday. I would have hated to lose a character to this in hardcore.

One notable omission from the patch is the guaranteed legendary drop from Skeleton King. I really did expect to see this in this patch. I’m sure it will be one of the top priorities in the next patch. Maybe I should do a post on that while it’s still around.

Anyway, that pretty much sums what I think is important in the patch. If you missed seeing the actual patch notes then head over to DiabloFans to check them out.

Patch 2.0.1 – Whirlwind (WW) Barbarian Build

Some people have been asking for it, and here it is, the new WW Barb build. This build is currently popular with streamers like Moldran and is a pretty fun build to play. The killing ability of it is pretty nice and strong for the time being. Anyway, if you have been missing the WW Barb then try this one out!

One important note: The old infinite WotB/Tornado WW Barb is pretty much dead. It was fun, but way too powerful. This new build is different and with the speed adjustment of Whirlwind you can really feel the difference. It does take some getting used to but is pretty good. Click through to read the build breakdown or watch the video above!

D3 Infernal Machine Changes 2.0.1

Here is some stuff about the Infernal Machine changes. I decided to do this post since I have been seeing a lot of questions about what changed, etc. I figured if I had those questions as well it would be beneficial for everyone if I put some of the common answers to questions in one place. I really hope this helps you out. If you remember anything it’s this…..what’s old is old and what’s new is new. ๐Ÿ™‚

Keywarden Key Drop Rates 2.0.1

The drop rates for the keys from the keywardens have dropped. Now, the max drop rate is 50% on Torment 6 difficulty (instead of 100% drop on MP10). It’s good to note here that the organ drop percentages from the uber bosses are the same as the keywardens. Click through to see a list of all the percentages.

D3 Paragon Leveling – Mira Runs Patch 2.0.1

UPDATE: This has been nerfed in the most recent patch 2.0.2.

Here’s some great information about a new very popular type of paragon leveling, dubbed Mira Runs. This has become more popular since the insane cursed chest farming was nerfed. While you won’t be seeing 2 billion xp per hour with this one you can still get some nice xp.

Warning though….it can get pretty boring when you are doing it over and over again. Anyway, check out the video to see it in action!

Mira Run Breakdown:

  • Start on the Shattered Crown quest in Act 1.
  • Grab quest, talk to Haedrig, head in the cellar.
  • Kill the blacksmith’s wife, Mira. Head back to town….rinse and repeat.

Overall, pretty simple but I decided to make a quick video of it since a lot of people were asking about Mira Runs in the chat.
