The updated Dystinct Earthen Skyriding route is currently one of the fastest and easiest ways to level from 10–90 in WoW Midnight.
Using this route, I was able to reach:
Level 80 in:
Level 90 in:
The newest version of the addon is also much easier to use than previous versions. The route now handles transitions automatically, which means there’s no more manually switching routes or trying to figure out where to go next.

Required Addons
To use this leveling route, you’ll need the following addons installed:
The Dystinct Earthen Skyriding addon handles the leveling route itself, while TomTom provides the waypoint arrow used to guide you through the route.
Together, they automate nearly the entire process and make the route much easier to follow.
Optional Addons
FarmHUD
FarmHUD is completely optional, but I highly recommend it for this leveling method.
Most players use FarmHUD for gathering professions like Mining and Herbalism, but it also works extremely well here because it keeps your flight path and waypoint arrow centered directly on your screen while flying.
This makes it much easier to stay focused on the route while moving quickly between discoveries.
Additional Addons for Non-English Clients
If you’re playing on a non-English WoW client, you’ll also need:
These are required for automatic waypoint switching to function correctly with the leveling route.
Lucky Tortollan Charm Setup
You’ll need the Lucky Tortollan Charm in order to leave the Earthen starting area and begin the leveling route.
The item can be purchased from Griftah in Dornogal near the Black Market Auction House and the Azj-Kahet portal at location (62.60, 50.69).
Once purchased on your main character, place the charm into your Warband Bank so your leveling character can retrieve it before starting the route.
Choosing the Correct Route
Once everything is installed, log onto your leveling character and open the Dystinct Earthen Skyriding addon.
You’ll see multiple leveling routes listed, but you want to select:
10–90 Midnight Leveling Route
The other routes are older and not nearly as fast as the updated Midnight version. It’s listed at the bottom of the list, so you’ll have to scroll in the addon to find it.
After selecting the route, the addon handles all transitions automatically. There’s no more manually switching routes or figuring out where to go next — simply follow the waypoint arrow and continue leveling.
Important Tips to Level Faster
Constantly Tap Your Forward Movement Key
This is probably the single biggest tip for speeding up your runs.
While flying, constantly tapping your forward movement key forces the game to update your position more frequently.
Some people prefer to keep tapping ‘W’ when flying but I prefer to always hold down the Right mouse button and keep tapping on the Left. That way I can always steer with my mouse (since the Right mouse button is held down).
The trick is to keep tapping, if you just hold them down the game won’t quickly update your location in the world….of warcraft.
This helps discoveries trigger much faster and keeps the route moving smoothly.
If you’re not doing this, your run will be 2x – 3x times slower.
Your Skyriding Charges Reset on Level Up
Every time you level up, your:
Surge Forward
Skyward Ascent
charges reset back to six.
Because levels come extremely quickly before level 80, you’re constantly refilling your Skyriding charges throughout the run.
You still need to manage them a bit, but this helps tremendously with conserving your Second Wind charges.
Skip Bad Discovery Caves
Some caves don’t consistently trigger discoveries correctly (especially in Zulzadar).
I usually skip those entirely.
During one of my recent runs, I skipped around six discoveries and still hit level 90 before running out of nodes.
Don’t feel like you need to force every single discovery.
Avoid Flying Too Low Near Mobs
One of the easiest ways to ruin a leveling run is flying too low around mobs — especially near opposite faction towns.
It’s very easy to get one-shot if you get too close.
If possible, stay higher while flying through dangerous areas.
Race Change After Level 90
If you don’t actually want an Earthen character after finishing the route, you can simply do a race change after reaching level 90.
This still saves an enormous amount of leveling time compared to leveling normally but with the drawback of buying a race change.
Final Thoughts
Once everything is set up, this leveling method is honestly easier than it’s ever been.
The updated Dystinct addon handles all the transitions automatically, the route is extremely smooth now, and the overall setup is much simpler than previous versions.
